Olympic Equestrian Centre
This modern sports centre was built in advance of the Athens Olympic Games of 2004 and is situated 35 km from the Cape Sounio Resort, in the area of Markopoulo. It can host around 60,000 spectators and has permanent and temporary facilities to host a wide range of local and international events.

Olympic Shooting Centre
Directly opposite the Equestrian Centre, the Olympic Shooting Centre is the most technically advanced in Europe. It can host up to 13,000 visitors and has facilities for running targets, indoor track, 25 m. shooters, skeet and trap events.

ATHLETICS SPORTS FACILITIES

With its long sporting tradition, a variety of spectator sports and recreation await visitors to Athens. Football heads the list as the nation’s favourite sport followed by basketball and volleyball. Track and field events are also popular at the 2004 Olympic Stadium.

Golf
Greece has just six golf courses that offer international players excellent facilities and guaranteed sunshine breaks. Glyfada Golf Course, is just 40 minutes from Sounio.

PADI diving centre
Aqua Divers Club, a PADI diving centre, is situated at Anavissos, 15 km away from Cape Sounio Grecotel Exclusive Resort. The club has direct access to the beach and boat and offers classroom facilities, a complete range of Mares recreational scuba-diving and snorkelling equipment and a retail outlet. Wreck, reef, wall, cave, drift and night dives are available for certified divers within minutes of the shore. Each site has been carefully selected for its breathtaking underwater topography and abundance of marine life.
