Near Ancient Olympia, there is the forest of Foloi. According to Greek legends, the forest hosted the kingdom of Pholus the Centaur, amongst oak trees covering an area of 9,900 acres. Pholus had offered hospitality in this very forest to Hercules when he was hurt.
